Dana-Farber: what happens during a Reiki appointment

The Zakim Center factsheet explains the process from the initial conversation to the follow-up check-in.

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute · Published:

Zakim Center session format

The February 2020 sheet presents Reiki for relaxation and comfort. A roughly 45-minute visit includes care history and goals, clothed seated/reclining treatment with light or no touch, and a closing check-in. It describes paid care and possible financial assistance while continuing medical treatment.

Editorial perspective

The initial conversation and closing check-in offer a positive example of attentive service design. Discussing goals helps people understand what to expect. This is service guidance, not a trial result or current price quotation.
